Please support my friends and the right for same-sex couples to marry in Washington State. Vote yes on R74 in November! Video edited by Alex Pease. Directed by Mary Browning.
This is a photo I took of my dog that was awarded a select at the state high school photo contest. It won a select in the animal category.
Here is a screenshot from an animated short I have been working on during my freetime between projects. I storyboarded the short out already. The story goes something like this: Someone is following the ae.tuts tutorial to make the little character, they minimize their window, and the little guy is gone. Then the see him bouncing out of the distance in their computer wallpaper, which is what you see in the screenshot. The person controlling the mouse battles to return the little guy back to his after effects window while he bounces around the screen and causes chaos.
A look into high school stereotypes. I was the director of photography for this shoot along with Spencer Aston. The script was written by Dana Pecora. Although some of the scenes were a bit cliche and there were some technical problems with recording audio, the footage looked really nice. The video was filmed in one day in a four hour time period. It was filmed on May 10th, 2012 and edited May 15th, 2012. I gained experience working with boom and shotgun mics on the t2i in this shoot. This video demonstrates by ability to shoot moving shots; use boom mics, shotgun mics, lapel, mics; and to light dramatic-interview scenes. It also shows my ability to shoot with shallow-depth lenses.
I designed this poster to advertise a football playoff game. The poster shows my ability to create an interesting advertisement and my typography skills. It was designed on October 5th.
The sweatshirts I created for my tennis team demonstrate my graphic design abilities, specifically to create a simple but meaningful logo. I created the logo and ordered the sweatshirts on my own, which shows my ability to lead and direct a project. The sweatshirts were designed on December 6.
This is a video about deportation I created for my CI class. I originally used a different mic to record audio in the first sequence, but it stopped working halfway through, so I had to use the camera’s internal mic, which has bad quality. The video demonstrates my ability to use images and speech to convey a message, which in this case is that deportation is an ineffective solution to solve the illegal immigration problem. It was made over two days in November.
I designed this poster to advertise Ultimate Frisbee Club. It is a simple but effective design because it shows the time and place to be for the club. It shows that I can create simple advertisements that look good and display necessary information. The poster was designed in October.
This is a self-portrait I designed to sort of mimic the James Blake- James Blake album cover. I edited it to look similar but also different then the original James Blake cover. The photo demonstrates my photography and photoshop abilities. I took the two photos in my room with a high shutter speed to create the moving face effect. I also added directional blur to create more motion blur. I composited the two layers together using the pen tool and erase tool. The background was removed with the pen tool. The portrait was taken and edited on January 6th.
An animation / composting test inspired by the AT&T commercial.
